Creamline lottery brings £3.5k boost to local good causes in September
In September, our charity lottery-playing customers helped
raise £3.5k for a number of fantastic charities and causes across the North
West. We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your
continuous support, as we couldn’t do it without you. Your contributions have supported
incredible organisations, enabling them to provide vital and often life-saving
services to those in need across the region. In this blog, we shine a light on
some of the amazing work that the charities you support through the Creamline
lottery do.

North West Air Ambulance Charity
The North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA) provides
enhanced pre-hospital care to critically ill and injured patients across the
North West.
You may have seen the NWAA’s yellow helicopter in the skies,
flying to provide care to critically ill and injured patients across the
region. The NWAA’s pre-hospital care saves lives, with doctors and paramedics
treating people at the scene and making medical interventions which can often
mean the difference between life and death.
NWAA’s Barton airbase is located just a few miles from our
Creamline HQ and, together with their Blackpool airbase, covers the whole of
the North West.
The fantastic charity needs to raise £12 million each year
to ensure they can keep flying to save lives. Whether it’s paying for a crew
member’s helmet, covering the average cost per lifesaving mission or sponsoring
a paramedic for a month, the money you raise helps the NWAA to save lives
across the North West.
Greater Manchester Blood Bikes Charity
Greater Manchester Blood Bikes Charity operates as the only
charity of its kind in Greater Manchester, dedicated to transporting essential
medical supplies including blood, plasma, platelets, samples, vaccines and
donor breast milk to hospitals and healthcare facilities during nights,
weekends and bank holidays. This invaluable service is made possible by their
committed volunteers who generously contribute their time without any financial
compensation. By offering their time completely free of charge, their
volunteers enable local NHS teams to bring resources to where they’re needed
most. The charity has no expensive offices or storage units, so 100% of their
donations go towards funding the operation of their service.
We’re proud to say that your contributions by playing the Creamline charity lottery fuelled Greater Manchester Blood Bikes Charity for almost a month, allowing them to deliver around 200 jobs, making a significant difference to the individuals receiving them and to the charity’s volunteers.
NorthCare Charity
NorthCare Charity are fundraising for the construction of
the first RAPTOR Theatre, a £1.4 million project which prioritises care for
multi-trauma patients (those with multiple complex injuries), giving them the
best possible chance of survival.
Chris Swallow, our Joint Managing Director, visited the
construction in progress at Salford Royal Hospital earlier in the year and was
grateful for the generosity of our charity lottery players: "I recently
visited the RAPTOR Theatre in construction on the Salford Royal Hospital site,
to see first-hand how local people will benefit from the new theatre thanks to
the generosity of our wonderful lottery-playing customers.”
“A family-run business, Creamline operates on philanthropic
principles, and over the years through our customer charity lottery we are
proud to have been able to raise many thousands of pounds for local charities
and good causes that support the communities we serve.”
Francis House Children’s Hospice
Francis House Children’s Hospice supports approximately
2,000 people at any one time with respite care, homecare, sibling support, end
of life care and emotional and bereavement support.
Francis House, in collaboration with other children’s
hospices supports children facing a diverse range of life-limited and
life-threatening conditions, ensuring they receive the care and attention they
deserve. Their goal is to empower children, teenagers and young adults,
enabling them to experience life to its fullest by helping fulfil their dreams.
These often encompass things that many of us may overlook in our daily lives
but are challenging to achieve for people with disabilities or illnesses. We
couldn’t be more grateful to be able to support this wonderful charity every
month thanks to all of our charity lottery players.
St Ann’s Hospice
St Ann’s Hospice has been helping people and their loved
ones and carers from across Greater Manchester who are affected by life-limited
illnesses for over 50 years.
After 50 years of dedicated care, they urgently need a new
hospice with enhanced facilities. This is vital to sustaining their
cutting-edge, world-class care for everyone in the years ahead. They’re
reaching out to their local community, urging everyone to join them in their
most significant fundraising effort. With the community’s help, they’ve raised
more than £700,000 of their £2 million target. Every time you have fun with our
charity lottery, you’re helping to support the construction of their new
hospice.
