Oato’s Iced Coffee Recipe

Serves: 1

Iced coffee is a must-have for those balmy English summer mornings we get if we’re lucky. But it’s not just for summer – this recipe from our friends over at Oato will have you crafting iced coffees in your kitchen all year-round. Produced in North West Lancashire, Oato is made fresh with 100% British oats. Unlike other popular milk alternatives, Oato is fresh and not UHT, meaning it tastes oh-so-delicious and creamy, especially with coffee.

Method

Brew the Coffee:

  • Brew a strong cup of coffee using your preferred method (espresso, French press, or drip coffee maker).
  • Allow the coffee to cool to room temperature or chill in the refrigerator.

Prepare the Oato:

  • In a glass or pitcher, combine 1 cup of Oato Fresh Barista Whole oat drink with 1 tsp of vanilla extract (optional).

Mix the Coffee:

  • Add the cooled coffee to the Oato mixture.
  • Stir well to combine.

Sweeten (Optional):

  • If you prefer a sweeter iced coffee, add 1-2 tbsp of maple syrup or your sweetener of choice.
  • Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.

Serve:

  • Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the Oato coffee mixture over the ice.
  • Stir gently to chill the coffee evenly.

Garnish (Optional):

  • For an extra touch, garnish with a cinnamon stick, a dusting of cocoa powder, or a few coffee beans.
