Announcing our Cream of the Community charities

At Creamline, we are committed to giving back to our local communities, which is why we launched the Cream of the Community Fund this year. This initiative was created to recognise and support the incredible work of charities and good causes across the Manchester and Cheshire area which are important to our customers.

We are delighted to have donated £500 each to 10 deserving organisations, and we couldn’t have done it without your input! The response was overwhelming, and we loved hearing about the causes that mean the most to you. It’s inspiring to see so many people dedicated to making a difference, and we are proud to play a small part in helping them continue their important work, thanks to our generous lottery-playing customers.

Here are the charities we’ve chosen for this year:

We were touched to read about how our community has been personally affected by the work of these charities. Here are just a few of the heartwarming nominations we received:

Salford Survivor Project

“SSP was founded 13 years ago after the tragic deaths of two local women due to domestic abuse and has since become a vital support system for survivors. As a male victim, I struggled to find help until I walked into their shop, where they listened, secured funding for an occupation order, and helped me reclaim my home for my children. Even after my ex-partner's tragic passing, SSP has continued to support me, and I cannot think of a more deserving group.”

The Fox Rescuers

“The Fox Rescuers, run by Paul McDonald and Carol Gowrie, rely on donations to provide medical care, food, and shelter for sick and injured foxes. They dedicate their time and resources to treating mange, offering advice, and connecting people with local rescuers. This incredible charity helps preserve wildlife, protect ecosystems, and promote kindness toward animals. It is an incredible charity helping preserve wildlife, protect ecosystems, and promote kindness toward foxes and animals in general."

Olympias Music Foundation

“Olympias provides free weekly instrumental lessons to 150 children from low-income, refugee, and asylum-seeker families in Manchester, offering access to music education, theatre trips, concerts, and public performances."

“Since 2015, they have delivered nearly 27,000 free lessons, with many students progressing to prestigious programs like the RNCM Pathfinder scheme and the Halle Youth Choir. Beyond music, Olympias fosters confidence, friendship, and a sense of belonging—proving that music is for everyone. And above all, it’s fun!”

We’ll be providing more details in the coming weeks on how your nominations are helping to support our community and the vital work being done by its members. Stay tuned!
