Happy World Chocolate Day!
Tuesday 7th July marks
World Chocolate Day, a day where chocolate lovers all over the globe can
indulge in the deliciously smooth and creamy stuff completely guilt-free!
This momentous day commemorates the
day that chocolate was apparently introduced to Europe back in 1550 and since
then, it’s safe to say that chocolate has become a staple in nearly every
country’s diet.
The consumption of chocolate
actually began in Mesoamerica, where the cacao tree is native. The Aztecs
believed that the cacao seeds were a gift from the god of wisdom, which made
them incredibly valuable; so much so that they were even used as a form of
currency.
Although chocolate is,
unfortunately, no longer seen as an appropriate payment method, it remains a
delicious treat valued by many of us. Here at Creamline, we think that every
day should be chocolate appreciation day, so we thought we’d share just a few
of our favourite chocolate-based products and recipes for you to treat
