Introducing Creamline’s organic milk range
New year, new organic milk! We couldn’t be happier to
announce that we’ve added our very own Creamline-produced organic whole,
skimmed and semi-skimmed milk to our Daily Essentials milk range.
We’ve been working hard with trusted dairy farmers who are a
part of the Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative (OMSCo) to kickstart our new
organic products.
Sustainability and animal welfare is a key priority for all
of our Creamline milk, and this rings no truer than with our collaboration with
OMSCo organic dairy farmers. Formed in 1994, this cooperative consists of 450
farmers that produce a massive three-quarters of the UK’s organic milk! On
their farms, you’ll find the highest standards of health and welfare in farms
across the UK, with farming systems based on grazing grass and clover – that
means their herds of cows are free to be outside and graze on organic,
pesticide and herbicide-free grass and clover meadows for as much of the year
as possible.
When winter comes and pastures stop growing, the cows stay
in covered yards and cubicles with an abundance of space to move and
comfortable bedding. With organic standards requiring a minimum of 60% forage
in their diets, the cattle eat mainly fresh, dried or fermented grasses,
allowing them to live a long, healthy life. Free range, pasture-fed happy cows equals
delicious, creamy milk!
