Summer Holiday Fun
With the summer holidays coming up for schoolchildren around the UK, we’re looking at some fun ways to keep the kids entertained for the next few weeks. There’s plenty going on around the North West, and we’ve got some foodie tricks up our sleeve for rainy days.
Wizard Academy at East Lancashire Railway
Any magically-minded children in the family? This is the event for them. Join a cast of characters on an interactive quest, with plenty of activities inspired by that famous wizarding school. Enjoy a ride on the steam train along the way.
Space Mission at Legoland
This is an event for the whole family, running over the summer period at Legoland. Your young astronauts can build and launch their own LEGO rocket, drive remote control buggies, and get creative – one for everyone to get stuck into. Ideally located at the Trafford Centre, the discovery centre is a great day out.
Summer Football Camp at Hotel Football
Has the World Cup inspired some budding footballers at home? Hotel Football at Old Trafford is hosting a camp this summer, run by FA coaches on the rooftop pitch. Each day is structured so that young footballers can learn new skills and techniques – a great way to keep kids active over summer.
These days out are sure to build up an appetite, and we’ve got just the thing to keep children busy. Our brand-new range of Dough It Yourself pizza bases have been created using the finest ingredients, and are a great way to get the whole family involved. Each pack comes complete with two artisan pizza bases and a delicious pizza sauce. Choose your toppings from our fresh fruit & veg range to get one of your 5-a-day!
